PointsBet has its U.S. headquarters in Denver. Colorado was one of the first two states where Tipico went live and will soon be home to the sportsbook’s tech hub. The SuperBook chose Colorado as the first state in which to expand outside Nevada, where its fabled brick-and-mortar sportsbook resides — which may or may not have had something to do with the fact that its VP of operations went to CSU.
MaximBet chose Colorado as the debut location for its sportsbook while focusing its NIL program on female student-athletes at the state’s colleges, and it recently donated a bunch of money to victims of the Boulder County wildfire. And as for Betfred, the British-bred book also accepts wagers within Colorado’s boundaries, and is literally named after a guy named Fred.
With the exception of PointsBet, these aren’t the mobile sportsbooks whose ads appear on TV every seven minutes. But these smaller ballers should not be overlooked, particularly by Coloradans — and especially in the run-up to the biggest sports betting day of the year: Super Bowl Sunday.

Doug Terfehr, MaximBet’s vice president of brand and communications, told CO Bets that this year’s Super Bowl betting battlefield promises to be “hyper-competitive,” while Betfred Market Analyst Jason Sylva said, “[These are] crazy times we’re in with the competitiveness of the market, specifically when it comes to these new signup and retention offers. There’s never been a better time to be a sports bettor in the U.S. and especially in a state such as Colorado,” where bettors can choose from one of the deepest rosters of sportsbook apps in the country.
In light of Colorado’s crowded marketplace, these scrappier sportsbooks have had to get creative with their specials and props to attract bettors. To that end, here are some of the Super Bowl betting promotions that the aforementioned five outfits are offering in the state.
For new signups:
“The Big Game Super Package” — Get up to $1,500 in free bets by taking three actions:
- $1,000 “risk-free” bet on a side — morning line or spread
- Make a $25 prop bet, get $200 free bet
- Make a wager on the first quarter or first half, get a $300 free bet for the second half
For new and existing users:
“Double Take” — Bet on the Super Bowl first touchdown scorer market, and if your player scores, you win as usual. But if your first-TD scorer scores a second TD, you get your payout doubled ( i.e., Joe Mixon +700 to score first TD and if he scores a second TD, you get paid out +1400 on your first TD scorer bet).
“Make a Parlay, Get a Free Bet to Be Used During the Super Bowl” — Make a $100+ parlay or Parlay + (same-game parlay) on the Super Bowl, get a $25 free bet to be used in-play during the game.
“Make a Prop Bet, Get a Free Bet (Up to 5X)” — Make a $25+ prop bet on the SB and you’ll get a $5 free bet. You can do this up to five times, so $125 risked through five prop bets gets you $25 in free bets.
Deposit $10 for the Super Bowl, get a $100 bonus instantly (new users).
“Risk-free” bet on any deposit up to $750 (new users).
According to Vice President of Marketing Keith Gormley, Tipico is also featuring more than 50 boosted odds markets and Super Bowl special markets.

Place a $20+ pre-game bet and receive a $20 free bet to use on a live same-game parlay.
Like Tipico and most other books, PointsBet will be offering a healthy amount of Super Bowl-specific props and markets.
“Giving Props” guarantees anyone who bets on Super Bowl props with MaximBet the best odds available in the entire marketplace. If a bettor finds better odds on any other site, MaximBet will match those odds.
“Extra Point” gives anyone who places six bets their seventh bet (extra point) for free. That amount can be the average of their other six bets.
For any first-time deposit, MaximBet is matching 100% of that deposit up to $2,000 and giving that player an extra $56 (as in Super Bowl 56) in free bet credits (3X rollover required).
“Halfback Option” gives bettors 50% back on any in-play bet that doesn’t hit on Super Bowl Sunday.
For first-time players, SuperBook offers a 100% Deposit Match Bonus of up to $1,000 (50-50, one-time play-through). For example, if you make a $100 bet, $50 is theirs and $50 is yours. If you win, you get $150 — you get their take, not their stake. As soon as you win, you can withdraw. Can be used for any type of bet, not just the Super Bowl. Expires at 11:59 p.m. on game day (Feb. 13).
“Mystery odds boost” that will be revealed at 9 a.m. the morning of the Super Bowl — everybody who signs up before 9 a.m. can take advantage of it. The max bet is $50, “but they’re gonna want it,” Colorado SuperBook Marketing Director Kristin Mackey told CO Bets. “It will have a direct tie to the game.”
Von Miller Odds Boost — the ex-Bronco’s Super Bowl MVP odds will be boosted from 50/1 to 100/1 in Colorado.
Bengals linebacker (and University of Wyoming alum) Logan Wilson to have 1+ interception, boosted from 5/1 to 8/1.
