Rockies Enter All-Star Break With 43-50 Regular Season Record

Pirates snap Colorado’s five-game winning streak, but hope remains for a postseason berth.

The Colorado Rockies won five of their final six games heading into the 2022 MLB All-Star Break.

Although Sunday’s contest against the Pirates was unsuccessful, the Rockies will still be in postseason contention entering the second half of the season thanks to this year’s revised playoff format.

This October, a total of six teams from each league will enter the postseason – with a Wild Card Round scheduled to take place in a best-of-three format that will grant byes to the top two division winners in each league.

This means that Colorado is only seven games out of 6th Place in the National League entering the Break and are chasing the Phillies and Cardinals for that spot. In previous seasons, the Rockies would have to catch up to the lone Wild Card team in the National League – which at this point would be the current #4 seed Atlanta Braves (56-38).

Regular season action continues for Colorado this Friday as they travel to American Family Field in Milwaukee to take on the Brewers in a four game series before heading to Chicago for a two game stint against the White Sox.

Colorado’s next home stand at Coors Field won’t be until July 28th, when they host the NL West leading Dodgers in a four game, Thursday through Sunday series.

Rockies first-baseman C.J. Cron is the only Colorado player to be named an All-Star this year… and that is arguably because the MLB requires at least one member of each team to be selected to the All-Star roster each season.

The National League and American League All-Stars will meet this Tuesday, July 19th, at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

Colorado mobile sports betting apps are already accepting real money bets on Tuesday’s All-Star Game while offering a perfect opportunity for in-state sports bettors to make proposition or single game parlay wagers related to various outcomes.

Avs Futures Odds Look Strong For Stanley Cup Repeat

The Colorado Avalanche are the current National Hockey League Stanley Cup Champions, and preliminary betting odds are showing that the Avs are one of the favorites to again claim the Stanley Cup in 2022-23

In fact, the Avalanche managed to block Tampa Bay’s Stanley Cup “three peat” in this year’s Finals, and are still ranked in the Top 10 Youngest NHL Teams heading into the 2022-2023 regular season campaign.

NFL Preseason Games Begin In Less Than One Month

The Denver Broncos will play a total of three preseason games this August, starting with a Saturday matchup hosting the Dallas Cowboys at Mile High (Empower Field) on the 13th.

Denver will then go to Buffalo to take on the Bills before coming back home to host the Vikings in their final preseason game.

The Broncos’ regular season begins on Monday Night, September 12th, at Lumen Field against the Seattle Seahawks. Similar to last year, each team will play a total of 17 regular season games in 2022 and January of 2023.

NFL Futures Bets are available right now for Colorado sports bettors. Vegas Insider is posting the Broncos’ odds of winning Super Bowl 57 between +1600 and +1700 depending on the individual online sportsbook.
