MaximBet Colorado Promo Code, Bonus & Review
Carousel Group is a new player in the regulated US sports betting market. Its flagship product, MaximBet, has begun operations in Colorado through a partnership with Johnny Nolan’s Casino. Offering a solid selection of available betting markets and elite pricing that matches and sometimes exceeds its competitors in value for the bettor, the team behind MaximBet has created a product that brings its users true value and excitement.
While there may be some growing pains, the minor issues we ran across don’t really detract from the overall user experience, although we are hoping to see a bit more stability from the site in the future. For now, MaximBet users have access to a good selection of domestic and international leagues, a straightforward welcome promotion, and a functional, usable interface on both desktop and mobile devices.
MaximBet Bonus Offer – October 2021
Right now, new users that register through COBets can immediately claim a 100% deposit match up to $1000, spread out over four deposits. Yes, four deposits. Let us explain. MaximBet does its deposit match a little differently. They do indeed offer a $1000 deposit match, which is on the generous side, but you have to make four separate deposits over four weeks to get the maximum bonus. The first deposit match is for $500. On day 8-14 (week 2), you need to deposit again, this time $250, in order to receive the maximum match. Weeks 3 and 4 require $125 deposits each to claim the bonus. So after 4 weeks you will have $1000 in site credit in your account. The minimum deposit amount is $10 and you must play through your bonus 1x within 7 days. To claim your bonus match, simply click through one of the links found on this page or in the table below.

How the bonus works
The latest bonus offered by MaximBet is pretty simple. The company will give you a 100% deposit match as a Free Bet Credit, up to $1000, but only after four separate deposits, as described above. There is a 1x “clearance rate” requirement, which means that you would need to bet as much as your bonus within 7 days in order to receive it. Free Bet Credits are not withdrawable until the play-through requirement is met.
This is a very good bonus. You can double your first four deposits just by signing up for an account. And the 1x play-through requirement is the same or lower than most sportsbooks. Overall a solid promotion.
What’s great about MaximBet Sportsbook?
- Very competitive pricing: on average, the pricing for bets on MaximBet is better than its competitors, which often leads to slightly higher payouts for users.
- The quick bet function is a novel touch, making it a little easier to place small wagers on mobile.
- A modern-feeling interface with just the right amount of data and a pleasing color palate, allowing bettors to be well-informed without feeling overwhelmed.
The aforementioned welcome bonus for new players is not the only promotion that will grace the website — MaximBet often makes other offers available to give bettors extra value. These can include:
- Refunded stake bets are listed throughout the year, and often tie to specific events like first touchdown or knockouts— this is often referred to as bet insurance.
- Free bet credits are offered for certain sports or parlay wagers, such as a weekend bet credit if you bet on the Thursday night NFL or NCAA football games.
- Odds boosts are also common with online sportsbooks and we expect them to be a regular part of the site lineup.
- Unique prop-related promos are also on offer. For example, a promotion might offer $100 in site credit if you place a wager on a specific market, and say, a basketball player records a triple double.
MaximBet offers an adequate rewards program. After opting in, MaximBet will keep track of your wagers and reward you based on the amount you bet and which bets you make. You get 5 points for each $1 in straight bets, 20 points for every $1 parlay bets, and 50 points for every dollar redeposited. This sounds pretty good until you learn that each 1000 points only gets you $1 in free bet credits. So you have to bet $200 in straight bets to earn a buck in free credit. The deposit credits are the best part of the loyalty program. If you’re going to use MaximBet long term and plan on making regular deposits, you will end up getting a few $ in free bet credits pretty quickly. Otherwise the program offers little value.
MaximBet Software Platforms
Whether you’re betting on mobile or using the desktop version of the MaximBet platform, you will need to verify your identity and location with the service. This will require users to share part of their SSN (the last 4 digits) and their location. The latter is done via location services on mobile or via a plugin that you must download and enable whenever using the desktop version of the site.
MaximBet looks good on desktop, with a well-organized interface that doesn’t feel too busy. Your betslip docks to the right side of the screen and populates as you click through lines, automatically recognizing legs for a parlay or other kinds of multiple bets. The login button is at the top right, and the left navbar drops down to give you an in-depth list of available sports, promotions, and boosts.
At the moment, the MaximBet platform tends to function a bit better on desktop than on mobile. The betslip is more responsive and the lines update just a bit quicker on desktop, but these minor issues are likely to resolve as the operator works out the kinks. Overall, though, the desktop version of the MaximBet service is a fine way to place bets.
MaximBet Mobile App
The MaximBet mobile app is available for iOS and Android users. To download the app, simply visit the App Store or the Google Play store and search for “MaximBet Colorado”. You can also find a link to download the app on the MaximBet website.
On mobile, the MaximBet platform is relatively functional, with a few small delays in betslip updates and the occasional glitchy screen. Besides these superficial concerns, the mobile platform works well. Your betslip pops up whenever you select a bet, dynamically updating just as it would on a desktop browser (but optimized for a mobile screen). Live betting and complex bet types are all similarly available on the desktop and mobile versions of the site. Live betting is particularly suited for mobile betting: just have your phone with you. Whether you’re on the couch or at your favorite sports bar, its easy to follow the action and place bets as a game progresses.
Banking at MaximBet Sportsbook
To be frank, MaximBet has a pretty small offering of banking options at the moment. We’ll cut them some slack because they are a relatively new operator, but the listed payment options at the bottom of the homepage don’t necessarily reflect what is available on the site. For instance, Mazooma is not yet available to use even though it is listed within the footer. If you take a look at the cashier or the FAQ, you’ll note that the options are actually as follows:
- Bank transfer (ACH eCheck)
- Online banking
Luckily, Skrill does give users several payment options in itself. For deposits, through Skrill you’ll also have the ability to use credit or debit cards. For withdrawals, Skrill includes Neteller, Visa, Mastercard in addition to bank transfers. We’re hoping that MaximBet is able to add a bit more variety in banking options, such as PayPal and PayNearMe, as they grow. As always, check the terms and conditions and look on your financial institution’s website to see if they’ll accept transfers to/from online wagering services.
We are also hopeful that in-person payments (deposits and withdrawals) will eventually be offered at Johnny Nolan’s Casino in Cripple Creek, CO.
Betting Lines at MaximBet Online
Looking at pricing, it seems like MaximBet is trying to edge out the competition with premium odds. Your standard spreads and totals average out at -110 with most online sportsbooks, but there’s a trend for MaximBet to offer as low as -105. This isn’t a hard and fast rule, but it’s something noticeable when scanning MaximBet versus competitors.
MaximBet also offers low vig. Sometimes we’ll see a sub-three-percent figure, which is a lower take than other comparable books when taking a look at the odds for a standard moneyline bet. Looking at in-play bets and prop bets, the vig runs a bit higher, around six to seven percent.
For the beginner, the vig (also known as the “vigorish” or the “juice“) is essentially the amount that the bookmaker will take off the top of the total stake to pay their bills. Generally, the vig will be adjusted by a bookmaker so that it evens out the house’s risk.
Key Markets Available
MaximBet has a pretty well-rounded selection of available markets, including some niche items with a large betting market internationally. The markets available on MaximBet include:
- NFL / NCAA Football
- NBA / NCAA Basketball
- Soccer, including many international leagues
- Motor sports
- Rugby League / Union
Fans of international sports will enjoy the presence of cricket, darts, snooker, and a few others with worldwide popularity. The hometown favorites are still there though, with bets on all major US collegiate and professional leagues hosted on the sportsbook.
Game selection & bet types
Users on MaximBet will have access to myriad bet types, everything you’d expect from an online sportsbook. These include:
- Singles or moneyline bets, which are straightforward bets on who will win.
- Totals, wherein users bet on the total number of points earned by both teams. Also referred to as “over/under.”
- Spread bets, where users bet on the point difference between winner and loser.
- Parlays and other multis, where users bet on more than one match, either in the same sport or different markets. These types of bets are a bit more complicated, and are probably best reserved for the more experienced sports bettor.
- Prop bets where users bet on events that may or may not affect the outcome of the game. They can range from “player to score next goal” to “color of Gatorade dumped on coach”.
- Live Betting where you wager on a game that’s already underway. Will the next batter reach base? Will the next pitch be a strike?
The only types of bets unavailable to users in Colorado will be prop bets on college athletics, which are prohibited by Colorado state law.
Live or in-play betting is a favorite feature on modern sportsbooks. Essentially, in-play betting is as it sounds– placing bets on events, live, during the match. These wagers can be quick and may even have nothing to do with the outcome of the match (i.e., prop bets). With this degree of flexibility they’re a perfect fit for mobile betting.
MaximBet has a decent selection of live, in-play bets for select markets, and we’re hoping to see more matches added as the service expands within the Colorado market. Live, in-play betting is perhaps best suited for unlimited data connections or stable WiFi, as you want to be able to place your bets in as close to real-time as possible.
Cash Out Feature
MaximBet has a handy “Cash Out” option, which can be found on a few competing sites as well. Essentially, much like you’d be able to at a poker table users can cash out at any time, even before the match is complete to either reduce their losses or “quit while they are ahead,” so to speak. Instead of being committed to the end result of a match, if you sense your team is losing or the momentum is shifting, you can cash out based on current odds.
MaximBet has a decent set of customer support options. First off, the FAQ–this section is always a good addition to an online sportsbook. It conveys and displays information to new and existing bettors and can have a real effect on the overall experience. The FAQ section for MaximBet does a good job of detailing common user concerns in a tidy, searchable section with categories and entries for each.
It’s always nice to see the addition of a Glossary and articles on how to bet, both of which are present on the MaximBet FAQ by searching or sifting through the categories. At times, it seems like information is spread out across numerous help base articles and can take a bit of piecing together, but on the whole the Help/FAQ section is a great place for new bettors to educate themselves and for existing users to get a bit more insight into their concerns.
If the question is a bit more complex or you need actual account maintenance from a representative, there are additional options available. Of note, MaximBet features a 24/7 Live Chat function, giving users the ability to get specific, direct help for questions about account management and more. Of course, if you have a more detailed concern or need to make changes to your account, you will want to get in touch with the support team by email or phone, both of which are available.
More about MaximBet
MaximBet is new on the scene, but is already making progress in the crowded Colorado market. Carousel Group, parent company of the brand, already has the stage set to open RaceBook.com, the horse betting arm of Carousel’s suite of apps and websites. It’s not yet released in any US states, but will be soon.
In addition to Colorado, MaximBet has its eyes set on the legal sports betting market in other states including New Jersey, Iowa, and Indiana.
