Sportsbook operator Betway on Wednesday began adding additional in-game betting options ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl LVI, with the launch of “fully-automated, real-money, micro-betting products” powered by SimpleBet. Bettors in Colorado, Indiana, Iowa, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania — the states in which Betway is live — will have access to the expanded offerings.

In Colorado, Betway is partnered with Famous Bonanza Casino and launched its digital sports betting platform in April 2021. It means this is the company’s first Super Bowl in the Centennial State, where more than 20 online/mobile sportsbooks are live.

“We’re excited to now have our real-money micro-betting products live with Betway ahead of the biggest day on the American sports calendar in the Super Bowl,” said Chris Bevilacqua, co-founder and CEO of Simplebet, via press release Wednesday. “We’ve seen tremendous user engagement with our ground-breaking offerings and believe in-play wagering will become integral to the future of the sports betting ecosystem.”

In-game betting for football, NBA, MLB

Micro-betting, or in-game wagering, allows customers to bet on individual plays or moments within a game, such as whether the next play in a football game will be a passing or running play or how many points a team might score in a quarter or period. In-game wagering is a growing sector of sports betting in both the U.S. and Europe. SimpleBet’s micro-betting product is in use for NFL and college football games, NBA games, and Major League Baseball games.

SimpleBet is a B2B micro-wagering and in-game betting technology company that uses machine learning and automation.

“As we continue to grow the Betway brand in the U.S., the addition of Simplebet’s fully automated products will enhance the experience for our customers,” said Betway CEO Anthony Werkman. “It’s great that these will be live for the upcoming Super Bowl LVI.”

Betway is currently offering a $250 “risk-free” bet to new customers in addition to a wide array of wagering options to all bettors on the Super Bowl, including hundreds of prop bets. The company joins other smaller, boutique sports betting companies in offering unique opportunities to Coloradans for the Super Bowl.
